Details: Hi, I am selling my 2001 Chevy Malibu it´s a overall good driving car but it does need some work. The power windows and radio and thermostat control are touchy. They work sometimes and then other times they don´t. This is the same with the fuel gauge. The problem is in the ignition switch I believe it needs a new one. When you turn the key to start the car it starts.. but ive noticed that you have to take your hand and wiggle the key back and fourth to get it to hit the sweet spot inside the switch then everything starts working but then when you hit a bump and the key moves it goes back out. This is annoying I wont lie.When I bought the car i drove it for awhile with no problems i then started noticing that the theft light system was coming on. One day i got in to start the car and it would not start. It started then died. I didn´t know what the deal was. So i bought a new ignition from auto zone. Put it in. I was about devastated, still no start, then after reading forums online and researching i find out that these cars are known to do this and other people are having the same problem....The problem corrects its self when you turn the key forward ten minutes the red light blinks in the lower right hand corner of the instrument panel. After ten min´s goes buy it stops flashing and just turns red. Turn key off wait a second and it fires every time.Honestly its time to sell this car for me. I have an older family truck, that my dad bought new in 96. Im going to put a little bit of tlc in that and get it running tip top shape, for what im looking to do the truck suits me better right now.Im asking 900 firm , When i first bought the car i put new front rotors and brakes pads on they still have a good amount of life on them the tires are still in pretty good shape also.If i had to pick a issue that i didt want to share it would be the theft system, I have researched a little deeper supposly there is a company that makes a piece that by passes this. Just want to be honest with you guys. The car has never over heated on me the exterior and interior are in decent shape. The car is maroon red and has little rust. I will post pictures tomorrow. Where he had written it down. This is not a every day issue and doesn´t happened every time you drive the car but I wanted to make sure I listed it so you wouldn´t have the find out the way I did and are fully aware of the cars circumstances. Details: 93 Chevy C1500 V6 truck with 154,9XX miles. Good dependable work truck. Great running truck. New front brakes last year along with new serpentine belt. Has some rust but nothing major. Tires have good tread. Has dents and scratches all over so you don´t have to worry about parking to close to someone in a parking lot and having them ding the truck. $1500 OBO Text 309-275 one one zero seven if you´re interested.
