Details: 1983 Chevy 4X4 4 speed long bed. Lockout hubs, decent tires and decent body, runs and drives, 4WD works. NP-208 transfer case, which is a part time case. The lockout hubs essentially give you a 2wd low range if you need it, otherwise just leave them locked in and select 2 or 4wd from the transfer case. Used as a site truck on my private property for the last 6 years. New distributor, ignition module, pickup coil, battery and ignition switch. Has A/C but that is not working. Floor pans are solid. Weather strip lip has rusted at bottom on driver´s side. Small rust hole at left rear of cab in the usual Chevy truck location. Very little other rust in it. Floor pans are solid. VECI label indicates a 305, previous owner swears it was replaced with a 350 but this has not been verified because the casting numbers are not visible with the engine installed so it is being sold as having a 305, if it turns out to be a 350 that´s a free bonus. Whichever it is, it starts up and runs and can be driven as it is. Body is straight except for dent in lower rear quarter. Has heavy duty tow hooks under front bumper.What else it needs:Door panels, Dash pad, visors, carpet (if you want it in this kind of truck anyway), radio, bezels around the front headlights are all missing (missing as in gone and I do not have them) and will need to be replaced. Instrument cluster bezel and glove box are there but will need to be installed. All gauges and associated electronics are installed and seem to work ok. Valve cover gaskets leak some and probably always will unless you switch to aftermarket valve covers. There is a hole in the muffler. Other little things that are typical of a 20+ year old vehicle.Good for hunting fishing hauling etc but will need some work to make it a daily driven vehicle. I have not used it as a daily driver and don´t intend to. Only as a site truck for pulling stumps moving brush etc. If you are worried about things like mileage and am I the original owner this is definitely NOT the truck for you. If you are concerned about all those little details I recommend you purchase a new truck. Cost will be around 30K and if you have good credit some bank will be happy to finance it for you. I on the other hand am not a bank and will not finance anything. Please don´t ask. Price is not negotiable. I´ll say it again because some people don´t seem to get it NOT NEGOTIABLE. If nobody wants it for $1600 I will just keep using it myself. I use it around the house all the time anyway. That said I may consider a trade on a decent dirtbike. Truck has Flowmasters straight out the back and trully sounds like a hot rod. She has a new battery It turns allot of heads and and she gets allot of compliments. Details: I´m selling my fully original 1989 classic chevy caprice. This car has been my baby for 6 years now. It has full dual Flowmaster Pipes, sounds really good. It has a brand new set of 22´ wheels and tires, which cost me $2200. This car will get up and go, it is the fuel injected model witch is very hard to find. Interior looks wonderful not a rip in it. No stains or rips like most older cars. I have just recently had it serviced at the chevy dealership on a full $487.00 tune up, So she is right. It has improved the gas milage as well. 22 mpg city and 24 highway, Witch is really good for this big v8. This one as you can see was well taken care of. This car is a show stopper considering how clean and well conditioned it is.
