Details: For Sale here is a 1975 Chevrolet K-10 custom pickup truck. I am asking $10,000 and would consider trades... I am possibly looking for a Victory Jackpot. Or a custom bike. Or what do you have? You never know. It has been restored/built as a custom show truck. It is a total bumper to bumper, frame up restoration. I would comfortably say about 95% done. It idles perfect, runs strong, and drives nice! Not sure of the horse power it´s pushing, but it easily spins the tires if you just stomp on it while rolling in first gear...no need for clutching to spin the tires. That being said... it has not been beat on! It´s been super babied and pampered actually.HISTORY: I purchased the truck in the early 80´s. The truck was then garaged and striped to the chassis for restoration. The truck was partially restored (lets say 60%) because I was both anxious to get the truck on the road and financially couldn´t afford to go crazy. It was then my daily driver through out high school. After completing high school, I then decided to go for the 100% restoration as a custom show truck. It was again stripped down to the chassis for a second time. The result is as you see pictured. Since finished in the mid 90´s... it was never driven in the rain, never driven in the winter/snow, and garaged 100% of the time. It only comes out on the road to attend car shows and a leisurely cruise once in a while. It is started up from time to time (every few months) to make sure it has use on the seals... however there is a slight drip on the rear of the oil pan that I´m assuming is from the rear main seal possibly shrinking a bit over time.The true mileage is unknown. . . I believe the speedometer registers about 70K. . .but that is totally irrelevant as everything has been replaced with new parts. I never paid any attention to or kept track of mileage. . . I never really thought I´d be selling it. I would say the truck has under 10,000 miles since the rebuild.I have invested about $25,000 in this vehicle. Then naval jelly rust remover was used to get any residual rust. Then it was painted with a professional rust converter (the kind that is light green when you paint it on and turns black when it reacts with surface rust). Then it was primered with heavy duty oil base primer. Then brush painted with a high gloss black finish. All 4 leaf springs were replaced with new skyjacker brand 4 inch lift components. Arched springs in the front and new springs with blocks in the rear. GENERAL:All the electrical system, electronics, headlights, blinkers, guages, dashlights, wipers, washer fluid, heater, radio, etc work. The CB radio works, but does not ´come in´.... I think that´s because the Antennae brackets are not grounded. I mounted them on rubber washers so as not to scratch the paint and then realized that I probably need a grounding strap? All the 4X4 components are in 100% working order.What it needs:1. A few of the bolt inserts holding the hood hinges to the fiberglass fender have come loose. They have to be re-epoxied in place to keep the hood hinges from swiveling. Until epoxied, you can´t tighten the bolts tight enough to hold the hood hinges in the proper place. Because of this...the hood sits a little high towards the rear (windshield end) when you close the hood.... then you just have to push down on the rear of the hood to get it to shut closer to the fender. Probably a 2 hr project.2. The chrome steps that bolt to the stepside fenders just behind the cab need to be installed. I removed them to have them chrome plated and never got back around to putting them on. They are included in the sale. Probably a 1 hr project.3. The driver´s side sliding seat adjuster rail has cracked at the mounting point where you bolt it to the cab floor. Due to this, the seat rocks back and forth a bit. The seat would have to be taken out (4 bolts) and the rail flange needs to be welded back onto the bolting flange. Probably a 2 hr project.4. As you can see in the photos, the paint job is not 100% complete on the front fenders. The orange stripe needs to be painted on both fenders to complete the paint job. A few years back...a local body shop estimated the project at $500. I just never got around to getting it done.5. The headliner needs to be either re-glued or replaced.
